Dr. Inas Deeb Participates in the International Entrepreneurship Conference in the UAE

Dr. Inas Deeb, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Manager at Dar al-Kalima University, recently participated in the International Conference on Entrepreneurship – Palestine (ICEP 4.0) on November first and second, 2022 at the Museum of The Future in Dubai. This year’s theme was "Innovative Palestine…Human potential and promising prospects".

 

Dr. Inas Deeb was part of a panel entitled "Investment Opportunities in Palestine", during which she spoke about the challenges being faced and the strong relationship between opportunities and entrepreneurship in Palestine. Most notably, Dr. Inas emphasized the need for infrastructural development and the role of entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs in shaping and reshaping the Palestinian identity, past and future, through arts and storytelling.

Dr. Inas Deeb stressed "the importance of starting change with young people in education and in changing the culture of fear of failure to a culture of success and learning from failure, and innovation comes from the interaction between obstacles and motivation and facing challenges in order for young people to be the change”.

 

Hosted by the UAE for the first time, the conference is an ideal platform to provide regional investors and venture capital firms a comprehensive overview of the most prominent innovations of Palestinian startups in the fields of financial technology, educational technology, insurance technology, artificial intelligence and healthcare technology.

 

The International Entrepreneurship Conference – Palestine (ICEP 4.0) is considered the most prominent and important dialogue platform specialized in the development of start-ups, innovation and technological solutions in Palestine. The fourth edition of the conference will include the participation of Palestinian entrepreneurs and regional representatives of business incubators, financial technology accelerators and financing funds, in addition to public and private sector institutions throughout Palestine and the United Arab Emirates.
